Abstract: Building on the success of the 2024 full-day pre-conference, this session will continue the collaborative and inclusive spirit that emerged from the original discussion group. Designed as an open conversation for previous and new participants alike, participants will be invited to share strategies and experiences that empower women in the industry. By combining dialogue with practical strategy development, this series will equip women with the tools and networks needed to thrive, and will foster a lasting community rooted in inclusivity and empowerment.

Through reflective discussions, attendees will explore how to build strong support systems that can be a foundational component of navigating industry challenges. Building on previous years’ discussions, additional objectives include:

  • Discuss common challenges and strategies: Recognize common challenges faced by women in the industry and explore effective strategies employed by female leaders to overcome these obstacles.
  • Reflect on personal and professional experiences: Reflect on personal experiences, both positive and negative, and understand different approaches to handling industry-specific challenges.
  • Understand the importance of support systems: Comprehend the critical role of support systems and networks in personal and professional growth, identifying key individuals who can provide assistance.
  • Develop actionable inclusivity strategies: Collaborate to create practical, actionable strategies aimed at fostering a more inclusive and welcoming industry culture, and learn to implement these strategies within various organizations.
