AIA Continuing Education Provider

1 LU

Room: D135-136

Call to Action: Join us for an innovative one-hour workshop that explores the intersection of design thinking, learning environment creation, and artificial intelligence. This session is perfect for architects, designers, and educators looking to revolutionize their approach to designing educational spaces.

Abstract: In this dynamic workshop, participants will dive into the design thinking process with a specific focus on ideating learning environments. We’ll emphasize the importance of user-centered design, considering the diverse needs of students, teachers, and staff who will inhabit these spaces.

The session will guide you through the key stages of design thinking, from empathizing with users to ideating creative solutions. We’ll introduce practical techniques for gathering insights, generating ideas, and rapidly prototyping concepts for innovative learning spaces.

A unique aspect of this workshop is the exploration of AI as a co-creation tool in the design process. Participants will learn how to leverage AI to enhance their ideation, expand their creative possibilities, and streamline the design workflow.

Learning Objectives:
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Apply the design thinking process to the creation of learning environments.
  2. Utilize user-centered design principles to create more effective and inclusive educational spaces.
  3. Implement ideation techniques that consider the diverse needs of students, teachers, and staff.
  4. Integrate AI tools into the design process to enhance creativity and efficiency.
  5. Develop rapid prototyping skills for testing and refining learning environment concepts.
  6. Explore how human creativity and collaboration compares with AI tools that are trying to solve the same problem.

Join us to unlock new possibilities in educational design and discover how AI can amplify your creative potential!
