AIA CEU:

ABSTRACT:
It’s imperative that students are provided with learning spaces that promote collaboration, choice, and optimal learning stimuli. Through this workshop, attendees will recognize the importance of eliciting input from the stakeholders that use the space first, and then designing a space to fit those needs. Defining “why” we create the environment we create is the foundation to providing the optimal “what."

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
#1: Understanding Design Thinking as a collaborative tool to build empathy with the end user.
#2: Prioritizing “function" over “form.”
#3: Creating choices of kids to engage in a comfortable learning space.
#4: Designing zones within a classroom to ensure fluid access to learning environments.
